University of Washington Library and Press staff have reached a Tentative Agreement on their first contract!
This contract has many wins, including compensation increases from between 14 – 24% over the life of the contract for all in the bargaining unit, academic freedom for all in the bargaining unit, tenure rights for permanent librarians, grievance rights, a full contractual commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, remote work, and other gains that include career pathways and greater transparency.
